Instructions on how to apply if you want to apply:
Hello potential employee of ROSE Child Care, LLC we are excited you are interested in working for us. We are the
#1 ranked VPK School in the 7 county area and as a result we are flooded with college graduate and college student
applicants who want to gain experience working for us. I want to let you know now as best I can in words what
it means to work here so that you can decide if it is the right fit for you before you do the work it takes to
attempt to go further.
At ROSE we have a high standard of employee excellence. All teacher experience and education will be
examined and considered, but most of all we are looking for staff who will be a best-friend to all of our students.
Our staff is expected to physically get down to the child’s level, to get dirty along with the children, to
respect and protect each individual child and to know the details of every student’s day. Multi-tasking is
required for you to: teach through planning and play, look out for everyone’s safety at all times and keep the
center clean throughout the day.
It is hard sweaty but full-filling work that you will love if you have an interest in kids. If you don’t have
a strong interest in children it wouldn’t be a good fit for you. If you have not yet graduated from college and
you are hoping to gain experience as an assistant with us while in school the State will require that during you
first year of child care work you take 40 hours of on-line child care course work. This training must be started
before your first day and finished before your first anniversary. Also for college students our work shifts are
generally 8am to 2pm or 2pm to 7pm. If your college schedule does not permit you to be free to work at least half
of these than you may want to apply next semester.
If you are interested please bring your resume along with this application and a picture I.D. to 1268 Timberlane
Rd. Tallahassee, FL 32312 at 10am on a business day for a 2 hour interview and try-out. Because it is an interview
we know you will be tempted to dress professionally and that is fine. First impressions are important but we would
prefer you to also dress down a bit since you will be trying out in the classroom and doing messy crafts. We don’t
want you wearing clothes you are worried about messing up. We want you to be able to work. Also please no smelly
perfumes.
Please think deeply about this and decide if it is a realistic fit for you. If not thanks for reading this and
maybe we will see you as a parent one day. If so I will see you soon at 10am and if all goes well I will send you
away with a big stack of State required paperwork for you to fill out.
Thank you, Joseph Rose
